The advent of a prophet is not an everyday occurrence. Nor is the 
presence in person of the Prophet essential for every land, people and 
period. The life and teachings of the Prophet are the beacon to guide 
people to the right path, and as long as his teachings and his guidance 
are alive he is, as it were, himself alive. The real death of a Prophet 
consists not in his physical demise but in the ending of the influence 
of his teachings. The earlier Prophets have died because their followers
 have adulterated their teachings, distorted their instructions, and 
besmirched their life- examples by attaching fictitious events to them.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Not one of the earlier books —
 Torah, Zabur (Psalms of David), Injeel (Gospel of Jesus), for example —
 exists today in its original text and even the adherents of these books
 confess that they do not possess the original books. The life-histories
 of the earlier Prophets have been so mixed up with fiction that an 
accurate and authentic account of their lives has become impossible. 
Their lives have become tales and legends and no trustworthy record is 
available anywhere.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It cannot even be said with certainty when and where a certain 
Prophet was born, how he lived and what code of morality he gave to 
mankind. Thus, the real death of a Prophet consists in the death of his 
teachings. By this criterion no-one can deny that Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his teachings are alive. His teachings stand uncorrupted and are incorruptible. The Qur’an —the book he gave to mankind — exists in its original text, without a word, syllable or even letter having been changed.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The entire account of his life — his sayings, instructions and 
actions is preserved with complete accuracy. It is as though it all 
happened yesterday rather than thirteen centuries ago. The biography of 
no other human being is as detailed as that of Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him). In everything affecting our lives we can seek the guidance of Muhammad (peace
 be upon him) and the example of his life. That is why there is no need 
of any other Prophet after Muhammad, the last Prophet (peace be upon 
him).</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Furthermore, there are three conditions, which necessitate the advent
 of a new Prophet over and above the need to replace a deceased Prophet.
 These may be summed up as follows:</h4>

<h4 style="text-align: right;">

2. That the teachings of the Prophet who has passed away were 
incomplete and it is necessary to amend them, improve on them or add 
something to them.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
3. That the earlier Prophet was raised for a particular nation or 
territory and a Prophet for another nation, people of country is 
required.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
None of these conditions exist today. The teachings of the last 
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are alive, have been fully 
preserved and made immortal. The guidance he has shown unto mankind is 
complete and flawless, and is enshrined in the Glorious <a href="http://islam2hinduism.blogspot.com.eg/search/label/Qur%E2%80%99an" target="_blank" title="The Glorious Qur’an">Qur’an</a>.
 All the sources of Islam are fully intact and each and every 
instruction or action of the Prophet can be ascertained without the 
least shadow of doubt.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Secondly, God has completed His revealed guidance through the Prophet Muhammad
 (peace be upon him) and Islam is a complete religion for mankind. Allah
 has said that: “Today I have perfected your Faith — religion — for you,
 and have completed My bounty upon you.” (<a href="http://islam2hinduism.blogspot.com.eg/search/label/Qur%E2%80%99an" target="_blank">Al-Ma’idah </a>5:3) and a thorough study of Islam as a complete way of life proves the truth of these Qur ’anic words. Islam gives guidance for life in this world and in the hereafter and nothing essential for human guidance has been left out. There is no ground for new prophethood on the plea of imperfection.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Some people say that the passage of time itself is a sufficient 
ground for the need of new guidance, and a religion which was revealed 
some thirteen centuries ago must necessarily grow obsolete and become a 
thing of the past. The objection is totally unfounded. The reasons may 
be briefly stated as follows:</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
(a) Islam’s teachings are eternal, because they have been revealed by Allah
 Who knows all the past, present and future and Who Himself is eternal. 
It is the human knowledge that is limited. It is the human eye which 
cannot see into the dim vista of the future, not God Whose knowledge is 
above all the limitations of time and space.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
(b) Islam
 is based on human nature, and the nature of man has remained the same 
in all times and epochs. All men are cast in the moulds of the earliest 
men and fundamental human nature remains unchanged.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
(c) In human life there is a beautiful balance between permanence and change.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Neither is everything permanent, nor is everything changeable. The 
fundamental principles, the basic values, do not invite change. It is 
the outward forms which change with the passage of time and which are 
changed while keeping in view certain principles which are to be 
observed. And Islam has catered for the needs of both permanence and 
change. The Qur’an and the Sunnah propounded the eternal principles of 
Islam, while through  <i>Ijtih</i><i>a</i><i>d</i> they are applied to every age according to its own needs. Islam is
 the only religion which has established machinery for the perennial 
evolution of human society in accordance with the fundamental principles
 and permanent values of life.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
(d) Scientifically, the human race is living in the age which was 
inaugurated by the advent of man on earth and no fundamental 
evolutionary change has occurred in this phase of existence. 
Civilizations have arisen and died, cultures have grown and withered, 
empires have emerged and disintegrated, but the age in the great chain 
of cosmic evolution remains the same. Therefore the view that guidance 
given some centuries back automatically becomes obsolete with the 
passage of time is unfounded and superficial.</h4>

</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Lastly, the Message of Muhammad (peace be upon him) was not meant for any particular people, place or period. He was raised as the World Prophet — the</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
messenger of truth for the whole of mankind. The Qur’an has
 commanded Muhammad (peace be upon him) to declare: “O mankind, I am 
Allah’s Messenger to all of you.” He has been described as “a blessing 
for all (the people of) the world.” and his approach has been universal 
and human. That is why after him there remains no need for new 
prophethood and he has been described by the Qur’an as <i>Kh</i><i>a</i><i>tam-an-Nab</i><i>i</i><i>yy</i><i>i</i><i>n</i>
 (the last of the chain of the true Prophets.) The only source, 
therefore, for the knowledge of God and His Way is Muhammad (peace be 
upon him). We can know of Islam only through his teachings which are so 
complete and so comprehensive that they can guide men through all ages 
to come. The world does not need a new prophet; it needs only such 
people as have full faith in
 Muhammad (peace be upon him), to become the standard-bearers of his 
message, propagate it throughout the world, and endeavor to establish 
the culture which Muhammad (peace upon him) gave to man. The world needs
 such men of character as can translate his teachings into practice and 
establish a society which is governed by Divine Law, whose supremacy Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to establish.</h4>

This is the mission of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and on its success hinges the success of Man.</h4>

">इस प्रकार के रूप कारणों संक्षेप में कहा जा सकता है:</span><span title="(a) Islam’s teachings are eternal, because they have been revealed by Allah Who knows all the past, present and future and Who Himself is eternal.">वे
 सब अतीत, वर्तमान और भविष्य और जो खुद शाश्वत है कौन जानता है कि अल्लाह 
ने खुलासा किया गया है, क्योंकि (क) इस्लाम की शिक्षाओं, अनन्त हैं। </span><span title="It is the human knowledge that is limited.">यह सीमित है कि मानव ज्ञान है। </span><span title="It is the human eye which cannot see into the dim vista of the future, not God Whose knowledge is above all the limitations of time and space.

">यह भविष्य के मंद विस्टा में नहीं देख सकते हैं, जो मानव आंख है, जिसका ज्ञान नहीं भगवान समय और स्थान की सभी सीमाओं से ऊपर है।</span><span title="(b) Islam is based on human nature, and the nature of man has remained the same in all times and epochs.">(ख) इस्लाम मानव प्रकृति पर आधारित है, और आदमी की प्रकृति हर समय और युगों में ही रह गया है। </span><span title="All men are cast in the moulds of the earliest men and fundamental human nature remains unchanged.

">सभी पुरुषों को जल्द से जल्द पुरुषों और मौलिक मानव प्रकृति के सांचे में डाल रहे हैं अपरिवर्तित बनी हुई है।</span><span title="(c) In human life there is a beautiful balance between permanence and change.

">(ग) मानव जीवन में स्थायित्व और बदलाव के बीच एक सुंदर संतुलन है।</span><span title="Neither is everything permanent, nor is everything changeable.">न तो सब कुछ स्थायी है, और न ही सब कुछ अस्थिर है। </span><span title="The fundamental principles, the basic values, do not invite change.">मौलिक सिद्धांतों, बुनियादी मूल्यों, परिवर्तन को आमंत्रित नहीं करते। </span><span title="It is the outward forms which change with the passage of time and which are changed while keeping in view certain principles which are to be observed.">यह दृश्य में मनाया जा रहे हैं जो निश्चित सिद्धांतों रखते हुए समय और जो बीतने के साथ बदल जो जावक रूपों बदल रहे हैं। </span><span title="And Islam has catered for the needs of both permanence and change.">और इस्लाम स्थायित्व और परिवर्तन दोनों की जरूरतों के लिए catered है। </span><span title="The Qur’an and the Sunnah propounded the eternal principles of Islam, while through Ijtihad they are applied to every age according to its own needs.">Ijtihad

समाज की बारहमासी विकास के लिए मशीनरी स्थापित किया है जो केवल धर्म है।</span><span title="(d) Scientifically, the human race is living in the age which was inaugurated by the advent of man on earth and no fundamental evolutionary change has occurred in this phase of existence.">(घ)
 वैज्ञानिक, मानव जाति के अस्तित्व के इस चरण में हुआ है पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य 
और कोई मौलिक विकासवादी परिवर्तन के आगमन के द्वारा उद्घाटन किया गया, जो 
उम्र में रह रही है। </span><span title="Civilizations have arisen and died, cultures have grown and withered, empires have emerged and disintegrated, but the age in the great chain of cosmic evolution remains the same.">सभ्यताओं
 उत्पन्न हो गया और मर गया, संस्कृतियों हो गई है और सूख गया है, 
साम्राज्यों में उभरा है और विघटित किया है, लेकिन ब्रह्मांडीय विकास के 
महान श्रृंखला में उम्र में ही रहता है है। </span><span title="Therefore the view that guidance given some centuries back automatically becomes obsolete with the passage of time is unfounded and superficial.

<i>Israa’</i> and <i>sara</i> in Arabic language refer to traveling in the night<sup>(1)</sup>  and <i>Israa’</i>
 here denotes the miraculous night journey of the Prophet Muhammad 
(peace be upon him) from al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah to Bayt Al-Maqdis 
in Jerusalem with Angel Gabriel on al-Buraq, a white and long animal 
larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule. This journey is called 
al-Israa’ that took place merely by the power and order of Allah the 
Almighty. This was mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an in a Surah named 
“Al-Israa’”<sup>(2)</sup></h4>

<span style="color: #351c75;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>What is Al-Mi`raj?</b></span></span></h4>

Al-Mi`raj was derived from the Arabic root-word <i>`uruj</i>
 that denotes ascending or climbing. In Islamic theology, the word 
Al-Mi`raj denotes the miraculous travel of the Prophet Muhammad (peace 
be upon him) from Jerusalem to the heavens and skies to see the sublime 
and unique beautify of the divine worlds and to be blessed with 
conversation with his Lord and to observe the divine beauty within 
minutes or hours or a small part of the night that did not take even the
 whole night.</h4>

The Mi`raj followed the Israa’ in the 
same night and the story of al-Mi`iraj was mentioned in brief in Surat 
An-Najm according to the opinion which says that the verses of Surat 
An-Najm describe the Prophet’s ascension to heavens, beside many other 
Prophetic traditions. Bothe the Israa’ and the Mi`raj were in awakening 
not in dream.<sup>(3)</sup></h4>

<span style="color: #783f04;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>When Did the Miraculous Event Happen? </b></span></span></h4>

According to the most famous opinion, the Israa’ and the Mi`raj took place on Rajab 27<sup>th</sup>,
 about a year before the migration of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be 
upon him) to Madinah. No doubt, there are other views in this regard. 
However, Muslims in the world celebrate this precious occasion on Rajab 
27<sup>th</sup> every year.<sup>(4)</sup></h4>

<b>The Story of Al-Israa’</b></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It is narrated on the authority of Anas 
ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that he 
was brought al-Buraq that is an animal white and long, larger than a 
donkey but smaller than a mule, which would place its hoof on a distance
 equal to the range of its sight. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon 
him) mounted it and came to Bait Al-Maqdis in Jerusalem, then he 
tethered it to the ring used by the prophets before him. He entered the 
mosque and prayed two <i>rak`ahs</i> in it, and then came out and 
Gabriel brought him a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk but the 
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) chose the milk, then Gabriel said: 
You have chosen the natural thing.</h4>

After that the miraculous and heavenly 
journey started as Gabriel took the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon 
him) to the nearest heaven and asked the gate of heaven to be opened and
 he was asked who he was. He replied: Gabriel. He was again asked: Who 
is with you? Gabriel said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? 
Gabriel replied: He has indeed been sent for. The door of the heaven was
 opened for them and at once they saw the Prophet Adam (peace be upon 
him) who welcomed him and prayed for his wellbeing. Then they ascended 
to the second heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked the door of 
heaven to be opened, and he was asked who he was. He answered: Gabriel; 
and was again asked: Who is with you? He replied: Muhammad. It was said:
 Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate
 was opened, when he entered the Prophets `Isa ibn Maryam and Yahya ibn 
Zakariya (peace be upon both of them), cousins from the maternal side 
welcomed him and prayed for his wellbeing.</h4>

Then he was taken to the third heaven 
and Gabriel asked for the opening (of the door). He was asked: Who are 
you? He replied: Gabriel. He was again asked: Who is with you? He 
replied Muhammad (peace be upon him). It was said: Has he been sent for?
 He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for them 
and he met the Prophet Yusuf (peace of be upon him) who was very 
beautiful rather he had been given half of the beauty of the world. He 
welcomed him and prayed for his wellbeing. Then he ascended with him to 
the fourth heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked for the gate to be 
opened, and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was again 
said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent 
for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for 
them, and suddenly he met the Prophet Idris (peace be upon him) who 
welcomed him and prayed for his wellbeing. It is noteworthy that Allah 
(Glory be to Him) mentioned the Prophet Idris in the Glorious Qur’an and
 said: <b>“We elevated him (Idris) to the exalted position.”</b> (Maryam 19:57)</h4>

Then he ascended with them to the fifth 
heaven and Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was said: Who is 
he? He replied Gabriel. It was again said: Who is with you? He replied: 
Muhammad. It was said has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed 
been sent for. The gate was opened for them and then he was with the 
Prophet Harun (Aaron) (peace be upon him) who welcomed him and prayed 
for his wellbeing.</h4>

Then he was taken to the sixth heaven. 
Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked for the door to be opened. It was 
said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was said: Who is with you? He 
replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has
 indeed been sent for. The gate was opened for them and there he was 
with the Prophet Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him) who welcomed him and 
prayed for his wellbeing. Then he was taken up to the seventh heaven. 
Gabriel asked the gate to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He said: 
Gabriel It was said. Who is with you? He replied: Muhammad (may peace be
 upon him.) It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed
 been sent for. The gate was opened for us and there he found the 
Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) (peace be upon him) reclining against <i>al-Bait al-Ma`mur</i> “the Frequented House” (that is situated in the 7<sup>th</sup> heaven, directly above the Ka`bah on earth and seventy thousand angels enter into <i>al-Bait al-Ma`mur</i> every day who never gets the chance to visit this place again.</h4>

<span style="color: #134f5c;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Sidrat al-Muntaha</b></span></span></h4>

The <i>Sidrat al-Muntaha</i> is a very large Lote Tree beyond the seventh heaven. It was named <i>Sidrat al-Muntaha</i> because whatever ascends from the earth and whatever descends from heaven terminates there.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Then the angel Gabriel took the Prophet 
(peace be upon him) to Sidrat al-Muntaha whose leaves were like elephant
 ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. When the Lote tree was
 covered by the command of Allah, it underwent such a change that none 
amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty.</h4>

<span style="color: #38761d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>The Gift of the Prayers </b></span></span></h4>

Then Allah (Glory be to Him) revealed to
 him a revelation and He made obligatory for him and his followers fifty
 prayers every day and night. Then he went down to Moses (peace be upon 
him) who asked him: What has your Lord enjoined upon your followers? He 
said: Fifty prayers. The Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) said to him 
to return to his Lord and beg for reduction (in the number of prayers), 
for his community shall not be able to bear this burden. As he has put 
to test the children of Isra’il and tried them (and found them too weak 
to bear such a heavy burden). The Prophet (peace be upon him) went back 
to his Lord and asked his Lord to make the prayers lighter for his 
nation. The Lord reduced five from the fifty prayers for him. He went 
down to Moses and said the Lord reduced five prayers for him, He said: 
Verily your nation shall not be able to bear this burden; return to the 
Lord and ask Him to make the prayers lighter. He then kept going back 
and forth between his Lord Exalted be He and Moses, until He said: There
 are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad! each being credited 
as ten, so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed 
and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he 
does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to 
do an evil deed and does not do, it will not be recorded for him; and if
 he does it, only one evil deed will be recorded. (Muslim)</h4>

Some authentic narrations say that the 
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) met the prophets in the heavens, 
then he returned to Jerusalem again and the prophets (peace be upon 
them) came down with him then he led them in the prayer in Bayt 
Al-Maqdis, after that he rode Al-Buraq again and returned to Makkah. In 
fact, Allah (Glory be to Him) made Adam and other prophets alive for him
 and he met them and led them in prayer.<sup>(5)</sup></h4>

">प्रार्थना का उपहार</span><span title="Then Allah (Glory be to Him) revealed to him a revelation and He made obligatory for him and his followers fifty prayers every day and night.">तो
