India always try to show only one side of the coin. The
thinkers always think about the Hindu temples that were destroyed in
India during the time of Muslim rulers leaving behind a lot of examples
of Mosques that were demolished and the copies of Glorious Quran were polluted with filth and feces beside other forms of hostility.<br />
The examples of mosque demolition are scattered in the folds of the
history books and travel books by the travelers who visited India during
 the middle ages. The examples presented in this article were quoted
from different sources; Persian, Arabic and Urdu after translating them
into English for the readers.<br />
It should be noted that some instances of the demolition of Hindu
temples in the Middle Ages were temples built on the ruins of some
mosques. Islamic jurisprudence
 says if a land is assigned for a mosque, then it is a mosque forever
until the Day of Resurrection and it is not allowed to use the land and
its atmosphere above for other purposes.<br />
Also, sometimes if a whole village entered in Islam and became Muslims; they demolished their Hindu temple and changing it into the mosque for their congregational prayer.</h4>

<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It was narrated in the book `Ajaib al-Hind the “Wonders of India” by
the Persian sea captain; Buzurg Ibn Shahriyār (d.399 A.H.1009 A.D.) that
 a Muslim sailor with bad morals, passed by a Hindu idol depicting a
young beautiful woman, believing himself unnoticed, the man entered a
Hindu temple and went to a beautiful idol and rubbed his private part
between the thighs of the idol and ejaculated.<br />
One of the attendees of the temple passed by him and noticed him doing
that then approached the idol and saw his semen between the thighs of
the idol. The Hindu attendee was very angry and caught the sailor
immediately and brought him to the Hindu king, the sailor was honest and
 confessed his crime in front of the Hindu king then the king sought the
 opinion of his ministers about the punishment for such crimes.<br />
Some of his ministers suggested throwing him under the huge legs of the
elephants, subjecting him to be crushed under the elephant’s feet whilst
 some of them told that the accused must be cut into pieces for his
crime.<br />
However, the king said that the criminal is an Arab and between the
Arabs and us, there is a truce so the king sent one of his ambassadors
to a Muslim ruler asking him about the Islamic ruling for a person
caught with a strange woman having sex in a mosque. The Muslim king
answered that such person must be killed. Then the Muslim person was
killed for insulting the Hindu idol.(1)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
This story shows two important points: first, a mosque in Islam has
its sanctity and respect that should not be violated or underestimated;
second, a Muslim man was killed due to his criminal actions when he
insulted the Hindu deity.<br />
This indicates the respect of Muslim kings to the sanctity of Hindu
temples and their eagerness to establish human equality between people
irrespective of religion, race or color.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #ff6600; font-size: large;"><b>Insult of Qur’an by Some Hindus</b></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
In addition, the Muslim historian; Muhammad Qasim Farishtah
(1560-1620) writes in his history book Tarikh Farishtah that in 1321
A.D. some Hindus insulted the Glorious Qur’an and some of them used the
pages of the Glorious Qur’an to sit on it.(2)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The above-mentioned incidents indicate that the Hindus enjoyed all
freedom and religious tolerance under the rule of Muslim rulers, and
sometimes this freedom made them dare to demolish the mosque and insult
the Quran. On the other hand, a Muslim was executed and was punished
with death penalty in the case of violation of the sanctity of Hindu
idol.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #ff6600; font-size: large;"><b>Detention of Muslim Girls by Hindus during the Reign of Aurangzeb</b></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The history books on medieval period mention that when the King Alamgir Aurangzeb
 (1618–1707) visited Punjab and Gujarat, a group of Muslim chiefs and
dignitaries of the city complained of the transgressions by some Hindus
on the Muslims of that area asking for his help in this regard.<br />
The complaint was that some Muslim girls and women were taken into
custody by some Hindus and some mosques were demolished and the sites
were included into their homes.<br />
After that the Muslim women
 and girls were released from the claws of Hindus and the demolished
mosques were restored and renovated. The history says that seventy
Muslim girls were freed from the hands of Hindus and were married to
Muslim men. In addition, some Hindus embraced Islam and established
mosques instead of their Hindu temples.(3)<br />
In addition, there was a mosque in the Hanuman Gadhi area of Awadh which
 was demolished by Hindus and many Muslims were killed in 1858 A.D.(4)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #ff6600; font-size: large;">Ibn Battuta and Demolition of a Mosque</span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Ibn Battuta (1304-1369 A.D.) one of the great medieval Muslim
travelers, writes in his travel that one of the Hindu Brahmans took off
the roof of a mosque to put it in the roof of his own house, but
suddenly a fire broke out from the roof and his house, his children and
his entire household burned and turned into ashes.<br />
After the incident of fire, the Hindu residents of that area respected
the mosque a lot and none of them dared to harm it again’ rather, they
set up a public fountain for the passersby and they became guards of the
 house of Allah the Almighty.(5)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #ff6600; font-size: large;"><b>Demolition of Mosque during the Reign of Sher Shah</b></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Additionally, the Afghan ruler Sher Shah in 1540 A.D. vowed to punish
 some Hindu landlords because they destroyed some mosques and converted
them into Hindu temples. In fact, some magi prompted Hindus in Gujarat
to attack Muslims and their mosques, thus, some minarets were harmed and
 some mosques were destroyed or burnt and eighty Muslims were killed. It
 was said that the mosques were restored later by the Hindu king.(6)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #ff6600; font-size: large;"><b>Demolition of Mosques during Akbar’s Rule</b></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
During Akbar’s time, the Sufi and spiritual man; Shaikh Ahmad
Sirhindi (1564-1624 A.D.) complained that some Hindus are demolishing
the mosques and changing them into their own places of worship or Hindu
temples.<br />
Shah Jahan (1592–1666A.D.) is also on record having seized seven mosques
 from their Hindu illegal owners who had violently seized the mosques
and included them into their properties in Punjab.<br />
Moreover, Aurangzeb (1618-1707 A.D.) refers to one of the Rajput nobles
with the highest post; Jaswant Singh of Jodhpur had destroyed in around
1658-59 A.D. many mosques and built Hindu idol-temples on their sites.
Yet, Jaswant Singh worked with Aurangzeb for the next 20 years until the
 Rajput’s death in 1679.(7)<br />
<span style="color: teal;"><b>Conclusion:</b></span> The
Muslims have conquered many countries and entered them as rulers. The
rule of Muslims on some countries began since the early period of Islam
or since the reign of the first Caliph of Islam. But history is the best
 witness that they never harmed any monument, idol, temple, synagogue or
 church. Egypt was ruled by the Companion `Amr ibn al-`Aas, and the
sphinx, the huge statue of stone in Giza, Egypt having the head of a
human and the body of a lion is still there and no one harmed it.<br />
It is realistic that the rulers irrespective of their faith always tried
 to please the majority of their subject and they tried their best to
win their hearts at any cost rather, the lovers of power always tried to
 avoid all sorts of public wrath that is a big threat for their powers.
Therefore, Muslim rulers were always tolerant with non-Muslims more than
 requirement in order to establish the foundations of their power and
demolition of religious places of the non-Muslims is the most dangerous
challenge to a power.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Also, Muslim princes and rulers were always surrounded by non-Muslim
ministers, counselors and religious leaders who were an impenetrable
barrier to the destruction of the temples.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
If there is an example for the demolition of a Hindu temple or a place
of worship for any religion, then it is for the temple that preceded the
 demolition of a mosque and the construction of a Hindu temple on its
ruins.</h4>

I would like to say only one thing that is written in your conclusion. Only if the Muslims of India become true Muslim, the destiny of this country will totally change.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
O my brothers! Please, awaken some of the severity in your heart. I have realized after whatever study about Islam and
 Muslims I did that a scared and fearful person cannot be a Muslim. If
there is fear, there is no Islam. If there is Islam, there is no fear.

<h4 style="text-align: left;">
One of the Hadiths dictated by our brother Mahmood Madani that is in my computer goes like: <i>Unsur akhaka zhaliman aw mazhluman</i> (Help your brother; in both cases; if he is an oppressor or if he is an oppressed.).</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The religion whose Hadith instructs to help an oppressed and even an
oppressor; stop the oppressor from oppressing the people, ask the
oppressor: Why are oppressing? What is wrong with you? The Hadith called
 the oppressor “brother” (in order to soften his heart). If such great
religion does not have tolerance then who has the tolerance?</h4>

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: teal;"><b>A Society Free from the Curse of Terrorism </b></span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The community that cannot give justice cannot be free from the

justice, but if you turn your police stations into jails of torture,
where innocents are brought and beaten, tortured and humiliated then
terrorism will increase.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
We have only one thing to do, we have to be brave. We have to follow
the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). What is the
toughest battle? Yes, the toughest battle is to show a tyrant ruler his
original face. Tell an unjust king; how ugly he is? Ask him; why are you
 committing the injustice and partiality? Why have you brought<span style="color: black;"> me to the justice?</span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: teal;"><b>Practicing Islam is now Harder than a Blaze on Your Palm </b></span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The clash will not end by such conferences. The battle is very long. The age has come, about which the Prophet Muhammad
 (peace be upon him) has prophesized saying: “There will come upon the
people a time when holding onto the religion will be like holding onto
hot coal.”</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Let become a Muslim only the one who has the strength, and let him

 your forefathers. Whoever tries to humiliate you, tell him: get out
from here. This is your country. This country belongs to you and me. And
 we only will care for it. Islamophobia does not suit India. India is a
country where I feel more secure with our bearded brothers than anywhere
 else. I never become scared of them; whenever I am with a Muslim
brother I feel that he will surely protect me. Let us swear together
that we will stimulate the same emotion in the hearts of the Muslims of

<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<b>By Editorial Satff
</b></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
We hear many people here and there who
ask: Do Muslims Worship the Ka`bah? If not then why Muslims go to it?
In, fact, this type of misunderstanding is raised by those who
misapprehend the true status of Ka`bah in Islam. They think that Ka`bah is like their deities or idols, but it is not a deity or an idol in Islam.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
We would like to declare that Muslims always adhere to the commands of Allah (Glory be to Him) and the instructions of His Messenger (peace be upon him).</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Facing the direction of <i>Qiblah</i> (prayer direction) is a condition of the validity of prayer in common situations. There is no controversy on this issue. Allah the Almighty says:</h4>
<h4 style="padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;">
<b>So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer].</b> (<a href="http://www.learning-quran.com/category/quran-translations/en-translation/mishari-bin-rashid/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Al-Baqarah</a> 2:144)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
However, there are some exceptions in
this ruling according to some urgent conditions, where a person is
unable to face the direction of Ka`bah, such as the prayer of fear (during a war) and non-obligatory prayer
 for a person traveling on a riding animal or any other means of
transportation. In these cases and similar situations, facing the
direction of Ka`bah is an un-obligatory issue and the prayer is valid if
 it was performed to any direction.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
As Allah the Almighty says:</h4>
<h4 style="padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;">
<b>And to Allah
belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is
the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.</b> (Al-Baqarah 2:115)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Islam urges Muslims to face the Ka`bah during the prayer
 to symbolize the concept of unity among all Muslims all over the globe.
 If the issue is left open to everybody, everyone will be facing a
different direction and this might cause disunity.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
All Muslims understand that the Ka`bah is just a symbol and does not harm or benefit anyone.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Muslims also go around the Ka`bah in Hajj to symbolize the divine unity of Allah the Almighty. At certain times during the lifetime of the Prophet
 (peace be upon him) Bilal (may Allah be pleased with) stood on the
Ka`bah and gave the Adhan. If there is any kind of worship, they would
not have done that.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Islam came to preach the worship
 of Allah the One and Alone. The message of Islam has invited people to
abandon the worship of idols and deities in any form. Allah (Glory be to
 Him) says:</h4>
<h4 style="padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;">
<b>But they have
taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and
 possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power
to cause] death or life or resurrection.</b> (Al-Furqan 25:3)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
All Messengers and Prophets were ordered by Allah the Almighty to worship Allah the One, Who has no form, shape or idol.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The Glorious Qur’an says in this regard:</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<b>And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, “There is no deity except Me, so worship Me.”</b> (Al-Anbiya’ 21:25)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: teal;"><b>Muslims Worship only the Lord of Ka`bah not the Ka`bah </b></span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It is strange to label Islam with idolatry, while Islam has been characterized across its history with the principle of monotheism in all aspects of human action, including: faith,
 worship, dealing and actions. Since its advent until today, monotheism
has been its identity just as the concept of rebirth is the distinctive
feature of Hinduism.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Every Muslim in the world, whether
educated or un-educated, intellectual or non-intellectual announces
clearly that Allah is the One Who must be worshipped Alone and not the
Ka`bah or anything else. Indeed, Muslims turn their faces to the
direction of Ka`bah during the prayer because Allah (Glory be to Him)
has ordered them to do so. That is why they implement the Command of Allah the Almighty in order to obey Him and worship Him. The implementation of His Orders and Commands has been regarded in Islam
 as the most meritorious kind of worship. Worship in Islam is not
directed to Ka`bah itself rather it is directed to the Lord of Ka`abh,
the Lord of the whole universe. In addition, Muslim jurists have
concluded that the Muslims who live in distant places or in other
countries and could not see Ka`bah in front of them during their prayer,
 such people do not need to face the physical building of Ka`bah
directly. For such Muslims, it is enough to face the direction of Ka`bah
 only and their prayer is valid. This is unlike the idols of Hindus
 who set idols of their gods in every home and shop. Also they carry
them wherever they go or travel. Hindu temples are also filled with
idols and statues of their gods, while the mosques of Muslims in any
country or place of the world are completely free from all kinds of
images and statues.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: teal;"><b>Bayt Al-Maqdis: The First Qiblah of Muslims</b></span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It is noteworthy here that Muslims in
the beginning of Islam used to turn their faces to the direction of Bayt
 Al-Maqdis in Jerusalem during their prayers, because the Prophet Muhammad</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
(peace be upon him) and his followers
were ordered by Allah the Almighty to turn their faces to the Bayt
Al-Maqdis. Thereafter, Allah (Glory be to Him) ordered them to turn
their faces to the direction of Ka`bah in Makkah, since then the Muslims
 began turning their faces to Ka`bah implementing the Command of Allah
the Almighty. Thus it has become clear that Muslims are merely bound by
the orders of their Lord the Almighty. When He (Glory be to Him) ordered
 them to face the direction of Bayt Al-Maqdis they obeyed His Command
sincerely and when they were ordered again to face the direction of
Ka`bah they implemented it immediately. That is why Allah is worshipped
and He is obeyed in all cases, not the Ka`bah as was misunderstood by
some people.</h4>

Some Hindus
 claim that Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni demolished a temple known as
Somnath. We are going to shed some light on this issue in the light of
accurate and trustworthy historical accounts. Before that, we should
emphasize first that Islam prohibits clearly any kind of compulsion in the matter of religion. Allah (Glory be to Him) says:</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<b>There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. </b>(<a href="http://islam2hinduism.blogspot.com.eg/search/label/Qur%E2%80%99an" target="_blank">Al-Baqarah</a> 2:256)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Muslims have never been encouraged to
exercise any pressure on non-Muslims, whether Hindus or non-Hindus,
religiously or socially to accept Islam.
 That is why we find most of the Muslim Sultans in Indian sub-continent
across their history, such as: Feroz Shah Tughlaq, Sultan Zaynul `Abidin
 Al-Kashmiri, Husayn Shah the king of Bengal, Nusrat Shah, the Mughal
emperor Akbar and Darashkoh and others have contributed a remarkable
contribution to the Indian culture by preserving the sources of Indian
culture and the Sanskrit language, encouraging others to follow their
exemplary move. I would not be exaggerating if I say that such efforts
could be found rarely in the eras of Hindu princes and rulers. The
Muslim rulers during their rule which lasted for more than eight
centuries entrusted powerful administrative tasks of state to Hindus.
They occupied the posts of minister and commandership in the army. They
served Muslim rulers as their governors, deputies and advisors. No
Muslim ruler is excepted from this merit.(1)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
However, the Indian subcontinent
remained an object of aspiration for foreign invaders and conquerors
since the immemorial and unknown times. Islamic conquest was the last of
 them before the British occupation. The rule of Muslims remained always
 characterized by tolerance, generosity, noble manners and human
behavior with the people of India that hardly could be found in the
history of nations in the world. The proof is plain as Hindus were
always in the majority during the reign of Muslims, millions of Hindu
and Buddhist temples remained unharmed throughout the Muslim rule across
 the Indian subcontinent. No temple was destroyed, otherwise, the
majority of Hindus would have been tuned into a minority and no temple
was seen in India, but the fact does not support this assumption. Do you
 not see what happened to Muslims in Spain when it fell into the
Christian hands? And what atrocities were exercised by Brahmans against
Buddhists, when they came into power?</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
A historian says in this connection:
“Hundreds of Buddhist statues, Stupas and Viharas have been destroyed in
 India between 830 and 966 A.D. in the name of Hindu revivalism, both
literary and archaeological sources within and outside India speak
volumes about the havoc done to Buddhism by Hindu fanatics. The
spiritual leaders like Shankaracharya and many Hindu kings and rulers
who took pride in demolishing Buddhist images aiming at the total
eradication of Buddhist culture.”(2) But such atrocities
never happened during the Muslim rule in India. The more a Muslim king
was staunch in his religion, the more he was committed to the Islamic
principles of tolerance, acceptance, open-mindedness and equality.
Because it is his religious and ethical duty before it is a governmental
 obligation. But if the king is negligent of his religion, it is natural
 to be unjust and violating of the rights of Muslims who share the same
religion before the rights of Hindus. That is why his unjust actions and
 violations should not be attributed to his religion.(3)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Islamic rule in the Indian subcontinent
was distinguished with peaceful coexistence and brotherly relations
between Hindus and Muslims.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
However, nowadays there are some
extremist elements who want to conceal those good relations in order to
reap some personal interests. Such people always try to fuel the fire of
 hatred, resentment and hostility among the followers of religions in
India. They claim that so and so Muslim ruler had launched a raid on so
and so Hindu Prince; so and so Hindu Prince defeated so and so Muslim
king and taught him an unforgettable lesson. But whoever reads and knows
 the history of Muslim rule in India can ask: do you not find in the
history that a Muslim ruler fought another Muslim ruler? A Hindu ruler
fought another Hindu ruler? The family of Kuruvas battled with the
family of Panduvas while both of them belonged to the same family as was
 mentioned in Mahabharata? Both of them contaminated their hands with
the blood of their own brothers and relatives.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The history tells us that the Hindu King
 Prithviraj fought the Hindu king Jaichand who were brothers, because
their mothers were sisters. There have been always battling between the
kings of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Chandragupta Maurya destroyed the
Kingdom of Nanda Empire. The truth is that the majority of kings and
princes in the past and present, whether Muslims or Hindus, Buddhists or
 Magi, Jews or Christians, always try to consolidate their rule and
expand the circle of their government and influence as much as they can,
 they never were interested in religious matters as they were interested
 in their power and rule, ignoring all religious rulings.(4) So it is not logic to attribute the wrongdoings of some deviant rulers to the religion itself.</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #990000;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>The Political Situation during the Reign of the King Mahmud of Ghazni</b></span></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
Political conflict existed between the
Islamic government in Ghazni, Afghanistan and the state of Buddhism
represented in the King Jayapala in Punjab during the reign of the King
Nasiruddin Sabuktegin father of Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni.(5)
Sabuktegin united under his government some scattered and small states
which were ruled by some Muslim princes. In fact, Sabuktegin desired to
expand his reign towards Bukhara; he was not interested in attacking
Jayapala, his intention was to bring together the Islamic scattered and
small independent states in Ghazni and around, Jayapala disliked the
increasing power of Sabuktegin and was afraid of his widening influence.(6)
 Therefore, Jayapala assembled a large number of troops making a strong
coalition includin the majority of Hindu princes and kings and attacked
this emerging state with a large number of coalition forces, while
Sabuktegin was out of Ghazni, he was in Nisapur on a mission to fight
some rebels of Shiites that was governed by the prince Mahmud son of
Sabuktegin. When Sabuktegin heard of this sudden attack of Jayapala who
penetrated with his army into Ghazni when the king heard of this attack
he returned to his capital immediately, and began fighting the coalition
 army of Jayapala who was defeated in this battle a bad defeat, because
the Afghans were accustomed to fight in the circumstances of a severe
winter and snow, unlike Jayapala and his soldiers. However, when he felt
 his defeat he sent a letter to Sabuktegin requesting a peace truce
promising him to be always loyal to him, vowing that a lot of gifts
would be sent to him after arriving Punjab as a gratitude to his mercy
and kindness. He asked to send with him some Muslims to accompany him
who can carry those gifts from Punjab to Ghazni. The advisors of
Sabuktegin hesitated and were not satisfied with the conclusion of
reconciliation and truce, suggesting to continue the fighting until the
end, but the king remained persistent to implement the Order of Allah (Glory be to Him) that says:</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<b>And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.</b> (<a href="http://islam2hinduism.blogspot.com.eg/search/label/Qur%E2%80%99an" target="_blank">Al-Anfal </a>8:61)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
When Jayapala returned from Ghazni after
 he was pardoned by Sabuktegin and released following a peace agreement
between him and the king Sabuktegin, but he violated his promise and
wrote letters to every king and prince in India inciting them to be
prepared for a battle with Sabuktegin who has planned to attack Punjab
with a large army, if he conquered the king of Punjab all kings of India

<h4 style="text-align: left;">
It is noted that Jayapala was pardoned
by Sabuktegin after his request, but he set aside his agreement and
breached his promise, in addition to that, he incited the Hindu kings
and princes to fight Sabuktegin. One of the most authentic and earliest
historical accounts about the history of Indian subcontinent in Persian
language, <i>History of Farishtah</i> that is more reliable and
authentic than the historical books of English writers, who tried
intentionally to distort the history of Muslim rulers in India, mentions
 that even the Hindu women have given their gold and silver in charity
to prepare the Hindu army to confront Mahmud and his army, they worked
in spinning and earned money to help them with a great religious spirit
and spiritual zeal.(8)
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
The Muslim historian Akbar Shah mentions
 that Jayapala suffered defeat at the hands of Sabuktegin twice and
sought amnesty every time and was pardoned by the Muslim King
Sabuktegin, but every time he breached the covenant until he committed
suicide, and his son Anandpal succeeded him.(9)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
During this period, in the year 1030
A.D. the king Sabuktegin died and was succeeded by his son the Prince
Mahmud of Ghazni whose attention was concentrated  on conquering
Khurasan and Bukhara which were among the states of his father and was
beset by the problems of rebels from time to time. He traveled and
fought them and restored it to his reign. The king Mahmud was busy in
organizing his new states until he was informed through a letter by one
of his deputies in Peshawar in the year 1001 A.D. His deputy said that
Jayapala has assembled a large coalition army to invade Ghazni. However,
 he did not believe in the content of this letter and sent a spy to
verify the news that confirmed that Jayapala has camped down around the
suburbs of Ghazni that forced Mahmud to direct his attention to
Jayapala.(10)</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: right;">
</h4>
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
This reveals clearly that the war was
imposed upon King Mahmud by Jayapala which became inescapable for him.
Immediately, he prepared his army to meet Jayapala who was with a large
army that exceeded a hundred thousand armed men. Mahmud fought them
heroically and defeated them a bad defeat, many of them were killed and
many of them escaped and ran away. It is worth-mentioning that Multan
was a center of Ismaili Qarmatians who always lurked Mahmud and his
states, allying with Jayapala and other Hindu kings to conquer him.
Thus, Somnath was a center of political intrigues and conspiracies by
Hindu kings and their Ismaili allies. Also the temple of Somnath was
used as a fort to attack Mahmud and his force. After we have proved that
 the attack was started by Jayapala and his son Ananadpala on Sabuktegin
 and Mahmud of Ghazni, as well as, Jayapala was granted amnesty twice,
in the following article we will introduce to Somnath Temple, explaining
 if it was  demolished by the King Mahmud as was claimed some Hindu
writers.</h4>
