Ahmad ibn Hanbal is the collection of Hadith collected by the famous Sunni
scholar Ibn Hanbal to whom the Hanbali madhab of Sunnis is attributed. It is
said by some that Ibn Hanbal made a comment in regards to his book which read
as follows: 'There is not a hadith that I have included in this book except
that it was used as evidence by some of the scholars.'
